Hanna Pustuła-Lewicka Hanna Pustuła-Lewicka, the author of a new translation of Rudyard Kipling’s JUST SO STORIES FOR LITTLE CHILDREN, will be signing the book at the publisher’s stand We are happy to present the first complete Polish edition of one of the major classical titles of children’s literature – Rudyard Kipling’s JUST SO STORIES FOR LITTLE CHILDREN, in a new rendition by Hanna Pustuła-Lewicka and with the author’s illustrations. The 1902 book Just So Stories for Little Children by Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) – in previous Polish renditions known under the title Takie sobie bajeczki – is a fantastic bestiary of sorts in which the author explains the world’s complexities to the youngest reader. Thanks to its formal innovativeness and refined humour, the collection became a literary highlight for adult English-speaking readers, as well. The new, faithful translation accompanied by a critical study enables a more profound reception of the work’s artistic side. Hanna Pustuła-Lewicka is an outstanding translator of English-language literature. She has translated among others books by Alain de Botton, Raymond Carver, John McGahern and Flann O’Brien.
